Two new video produced by Sat Survey on ZScan technology:
|
|
|
Two new thesis in ZScan EVO were inserted into our document database.
They illustrate pratical use of ZScan EVO suite applied to archaeological contexts.
|
|
|
We are proud to introduce our newest development: ZScan Evo.
Based on the same photogrammetry principles that made ZScan a success, ZScan Evo represents an important innovation: it allows the user complete 3D reconstruction without having to rely on a complex hardware; it is also capable of automatically join models to create complete objects.
ZScan Evo is a 3D modelling solution which works through automated processes to create point clouds from simple digital images.
Resulting 3D models can be used for further analyses, such as DEMs, orthorectification, georeferencing, contour lines, etc.
ZScan Evo was developed and engineered for Archaeology, Architecture and Cultural Heritage uses.
The Evo retail kit includes a digital reflex camera with calibrated fixed lens (calibration is done in Menci Labs), a tablet pc and an adjustable topographic pole with tilt Manfrotto head.
The system includes the following software licenses:
- EVO CAPTURE: this module is associated with the tablet for field use. Its purpose is to show live feed from camera (especially when using the topographic pole) and acquire all the images you need in your project; it also helps users verify the correct overlap between pictures, which is always a requirement for photogrammetry.
- EVO CHECK: a module that can be used on-field, capable of pre-reconstruction. This module’s primary function is to ensure that all images can be successfully tied for reconstruction.
- UMAP: main processing module for RGB point cloud reconstruction. uMap also creates hi-res textures.
- AFTERWORK: post-processing module for 3D model refining. AfterWork can automatically recognize and eliminate overlap zones between models, so that every project created with ZScan Evo will produce a homogeneous and sharp textured 3D model.
With AfterWork users can export a fully texturized 3D model.
