EVO represents the latest innovative evolution of development of the Z-Scan consolidated technology, designed to favour handling and operational ease.

It uses the latest innovations from Menci Software in the field of 3D reconstruction from images, to obtain RGB point clouds with high-density.

EVO frees the operator on site from the use of the slide of precision, being able to handle images acquired by hand on any subject.

Providing the system of strip with appropriate overlap (at least 60% of the images) the user can get a full 3d model, for both their analysis and documentation requirements.

EVO is ideal for applications in architectural survey, archaeological evidence, documentation of Cultural Heritage, 3D modelling and restoration.

The system is composed of:

• n.1 digital reflex camera (CANON 600D) with calibrated fixed lens (calibration is done in Menci Labs);
• n.1 adjustable topographic pole with suitable support for camera and tablet;
• n.1 tablet PC for remote control of camera.

The software license includes the modules:

• EVOCapture for remote shoot and control of the acquisition on site;
• EVOCheck for pre-processing and validation of the images on site;
• UMap for the automated reconstruction of 3D models from blocks of images;
• SiteManager for the viewing and managing of 3D data of each project.
